A Mandrillon is a giant ape-like creature with huge fangs, tusks, and four arms. Found in the foothills that separate the savannah from the mountains. Fiercely territorial, these huge beasts are mostly herbivorous despite their deadly abilities, which they use to defend themselves from other predators and establish a hierarchy among themselves.
The largest female with the most prominent tusks is the alpha in any given shrewdness, usually having several suitors who will attend her. The Mandrillon communities tend to contain at most 10 Mandrillon in any given dozen miles that they traverse by tree-branch (50 ft. brachiating speed allows them to swing from branch to branch quickly.) If forced out into the open savannah, they lose these advantages.
